  1. Let me check on this for you! Kim
  2. I know how you feel! I always tell myself.....just get through January and February is a short month. After that I know temps should start to inprove and I begin to plan my gardens and flower beds and look forward to being outdoors more....and without so many layers. With that said, we all experience days (sometimes several!) where we don't feel like we accomplish what we should have. Don't be to hard on yourself. I am sure other times you make up for those slower days. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers....Happy 2018!
  3. Yes I did! My family loved it. I can't wait to try other recipes!

  5. Sometimes taking life minute by minute and trusting in God is all we can do. The tests results are optimistic and that is a blessing. Keeping your daughter and family in my thoughts and prayers.

  9. I just read a really great article on giving your kids expeeriences for Christmas. Just like you mentioned....museum passes, a trip, lessons of some sort. My husband and I decided that our Christmas gift next year to our kids (our kids are grown and married) that we will be taking them on a family vacation.. All expenses paid by Mom and Dad. We did a fmaily "glamping trip" last summer and we had so much fun and great memories.

  22. I am going to expand on Toni's great idea of having family and friends write about your daughter. Maybe they could do a short or long "I remember" story. You could then add photos and have it made into a bound book for her. I know there are several online options for this service. I think even the offcie supply stores could do this as well. Enjoy this year! Kim
  23. Layers and fleece! We snowmobile up north and a good pair of boots is necessary. If you spend alot of time outdoors, using the handwarmers also helps. We toss one in each glove and 1 in each boot. Wisconsin is a beautiful state...lucky you! Kim
  24. Following this thread!!! Thanks for the information--Kim
  25. Don't stress out if you don't feel like participating in the holidays. I tend to pass right by Halloween, I love Thanksgiving and Christmas so I give that my all...some years my effort is better than others. I will often change up how we celebrate. My son suggested we grill out for Thanksgiving so that's what we will do this year. Maybe do some online shipping for Christmas gifts. It really does not matter to me what we eat or what we do...as long as my kids are with me. My kids are older and married so my perspective on my kids may be different. Now that they are grown up and happily married...I wish they were back home! Take some time for yourself and do what makes you feel happy....AND avoid Wal-Mart on Black Friday! Kim
