  1. I'm not an expert, but I wouldn't panic yet. She's only 6. For now, I would just keep casually working on it, maybe trying different "angles" (methods). No pressure...You don't want her to feel frustrated or like she can't get it. Read a lot TO her. Sometimes the "light" just switches on suddenly.
  2. We loved Video Text Interactive for algebra I and II. I kept telling my girls that this is the way algebra should be taught. (Not the way I learned it in a public school classroom.) We started VTI for geography and quickly became very frustrated. I asked around for suggestions and ended up switching to Teaching Textbooks for geography, and this is going very well.
