Any news on upcoming stories?  I assumed we would be getting three new stories throughout the year, but maybe my assumption was wrong?  Thanks for the clarification!

According to the subscription payment receipt, “Throughout the year, you’ll get Heirloom Audio’s 3 newest Audio Adventures before they’re available to the public.”

So we are supposed to receive 3 cd sets per year. I’m here checking for info because I’m feeling concerned that I had missed something since the last set I received was For The Temple many months ago. It was so long ago that I can’t even recall when it came. Maybe end of 2018?

I would guess that the new productions are taking longer to record and edit than anticipated, but some communication to subscribers about what’s going on and when we can expect the next set(s) would be greatly appreciated. If I don’t hear or receive something soon, I’m most likely going to cancel my subscription.

You are correct, The last release was late 2018. There has been nothing released this year.

How many releases were there last year? I can think of St. Bartholomew's Eve and For the Temple. Were there any others? We are supposed to be getting 3 sets a year and it really seems like Heirloom is not living up to that.

Hey Everyone! We are a bit behind schedule this year, and we apologize.  We are currently still working on this years releases and, Lord willing, planning on getting them out yet this year. We understand your concerns and appreciate your patience.  Thank you.

I agree with everyone above ... I too am concerned.  It's time for my renewal again, and I feel as though I've paid all year for nothing.  I think an email updating members at least once a month is not too much to ask.  I understand being behind schedule, I just don't think it's fair that I have to "dig" to find that information on a member's forum.  I also don't think it's fair that if I do cancel my membership now, even after paying all year, I would not receive anything that is shipped out at the end of the year.  I'm really not sure what to do.

Well it is strange I was going to end my subscription to save cost and they said that if I end it I can never rejoin also they said that they were going to do four instead of three but did not mention that the fourth is only an audio book!

so I am of the opinion that if you are misleading in one area then your customers cannot know they can trust you in any area!!

Why is it so hard to get any response from heirloom audio?  I try to call, and the phone rings and rings.  I email and send chat messages...nothing.  I, like many others am concerned that we were promised 3 new CD's and the end of the year is quickly approaching.  My kids have really enjoyed these, but I'm starting to lose confidence in the company and am half expecting to hear that it's shutting down production.  Please, heirloom audio. COMMUNICATE WITH US!!

So, in the spirit of 'giving feedback' I'd like to give some constructive one :)
I really do understand that you need to protect your intellectual property and also prevent pirating your productions. But there might be circumstances, where people do want to cancel the club for a while, for any reasons. And maybe later want to join again. Maybe a good policy might be to block them joining for a certain period instead of blocking them forever. Since I do think the majority of people still wants to be part of the club because of your great productions :)

Following.  So if I understand correctly ... we should be receiving at least three cds by the end of this year, right?  The last one I received was For the Temple - which I LOVED!  Please post something so we know what the plan is.  Thank you.

I haven't heard anything, but it's going to be December soon!  Is it customary to send all three in the same month?  I thought they would have sent them throughout the entire year.  A comment or update from a founder/owner may be nice (even if its something we "don't want to hear").  My son is an avid Adventures in Odyssey listener and they give their members updates on when new stories are coming out.  It's really a great idea as then people have something to look forward to and it really builds excitement.  :)

December 5 and no updates. 🤔  Would be nice to know if we will be able to order some extra for Christmas, as I do every year.

Julie,

Is there any news you can share with us about the new productions Heirloom is working on? When might we might expect them?

I'm sure you can understand that as subscribers we are getting quite frustrated because we don't have a clue what's going on with Heirloom Audio. A little communication on a regular basis, especially if you're having difficulties, would go a long way in keeping us all as continuing subscribers. But without that communication, you will likely lose a majority of those of us who have been patiently waiting for our promised new releases. Please help us understand what is taking so long to complete this year's productions.

Sincerely,

Stephanie

I just tried email Heirloom Audio on their website and the Contact Us page didn't submit my email. This is unacceptable. Bill H. needs to respond to all of our inquiries.

Here's what my email said:

Hello,

We are part of the Live the Adventure Club, and I contacted you through that website a  few months ago. I got a very kind response from Julie, I think it was. She helped me as best she could, but didn't have the answer to my question.

So here it is: We have been faithfully been paying our dues to the LTAC, and yes, I understand part of the dues pays for our access to all the material on the website. But it also pays for our new GA Henty adventures. The only one we received this year is FOR THE TEMPLE. We loved it, but are wondering where the rest of our promised adventures are. Part of the dues is to pay for the new adventures that come out. We've paid our dues in full, but haven't received the promised material in full.

When I signed our family up, the dues were to be charged quarterly, and we'd receive four new adventures annually. Now that count is officially down to three promised adventures annually, and that change was made without officially notifying those of us who signed up under the four per year plan. And as of Dec. 16, 2019, we've only received one new adventure. I don't see that changing in the next fifteen days.

I understand running a ministry can be challenging. I understand you're probably running on a shoestring budget, and producing the top quality stories you create takes time, talent and more money. Personnel changes and natural disasters can slow things up.

But when you say you're going to do something, you need to do it. I signed up for four adventures per year. That was why I signed us up. We love you stories and the values they promote. My boys love the strong characters. For us to be receiving three adventures instead of four, and now  only one so far for 2019 is unacceptable. I understand there may be extenuating circumstances, but it's your job to notify us of that. It really seems as if you're hoping we all just forget for now and keep paying our $24.94 every three months.

Please let me and the rest of your faithful subscribers know what's going on. It's the least you can do.

Thank you for what  you're doing to strengthen the leaders of tomorrow,

Christina Malo

So if I understand this correctly, those of us who have been paying the regular membership fee all year will receive all three new episodes within the next week (if they are released in 2019) and anyone who has signed up this week will also get all three episodes as part of their new subscription. Kind of reminds me of the parable of the workers in the vineyard in Matthew 20:1-16. That should be a great incentive for anyone wanting to get these programs to sign up now!

Of cause that is all base on the hope that these new audio adventurers will be released this year.  I've been waiting all year for a new episode and have invested too much money to cancel my membership now and miss out on them. If I keep my membership going next year is still something I'm weighing up.

Like so many have said before me: Please Adventure Club, just keep us informed as to what is going on.

Silence is your worst enemy, the devil is always willing to fill in the blanks.

Bill Heid released a podcast recently which goes into a lot of detail about why they are behind. I'd highly recommend giving it a listen.

https://www.spreaker.com/show/heirloom-audio-productions-updates

I'm not sure why this update was not shared here in this thread, but it is very informative.

JD,

Thank you for finding and sharing this. I do wish that when this podcast was posted in October someone from Heirloom would have shared it here with us. Like you said, it's very informative and helps give perspective on exactly what has happened and why they are behind schedule this year. It does makes me wonder if anyone is even moderating/managing this site right now. I not only posted my questions above to Julie from Heirloom, but I also sent her a private message asking the same questions with no response to either.

After listening to the podcase, I'm cautiously hopeful for Heirloom Audio and will give them grace for a little while longer and see what happens.

Stephanie
